Partick man dies in hospital after being struck with a car

A MAN who was hit by a car in Glasgow's West End has died in hospital.

Robert Wotherspoon, 54, from Partick, suffered serious head injuries after he was struck by a purple Peugeot 107.

The accident happened in Balmoral Street, on Sunday, at the junction with Dumbarton Road.

He died yesterday at the Southern General Hospital.

Police said relatives are aware and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Constable John O'Hara, from Police Scotland's Road Policing Department, appealed for any witnesses to contact him on 101.
