POLICE are appealing for help in finding a vulnerable missing woman.

Springburn resident Balquees Khalaf was last seen at her home in Royston Road at around 9pm on Monday December 15.

Officers are concerned for the wellbeing of the 38-year-old, who has recently given birth and is understood to have no other family members in the country besides her husband

She is described as around 6ft, and of heavy build.

Inspector Kenny Darroch from Baird Street Police Office said: "We are very concerned at the sudden disappearance of Balquees, particularly as she has only recently come to Scotland with her husband and speaks only limited English.

"She is not known to have any other family in the country apart from her husband.

"Balquees had also recently given birth.

"As time passes we are becoming very anxious to trace her safe and well.

"I would ask anyone with information to contact police immediately on 101."
