Roads closed after viaduct incident

Road closures are affecting motorists in Coatbridge after an incident at the town's viaduct.

Centenary Avenue has been closed in both directions between the Mulvey Crescent junction and the Agnew Avenue junction.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and took a man to nearby Monklands hospital.

The incident happened just after 2 pm, less than a quarter of a mile from the site where a 21-year-old man was shot last night.

The man is being treated in Monklands hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
