Youngsters were surprised by a special school visit from the cast of Still Game.

Scots actors Mark Cox, Jane McCarry and Sanjeev Kohli came to Gowanbank Primary in the Nitshill area of Glasgow as part of an event aimed at inspiring youngsters.

The school is holding a project called Reach for the Stars and has invited inspirational Scots to come in and speak to the pupils about their jobs and occupations.

The scheme is aimed at inspiring children to be the best they can be.

Pupils at the primary have already received good luck messages from tennis ace Andy Murray, cycling hero Sir Chris Hoy, and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

The youngsters were delighted by the visit from the Still Game trio, who play Tam, Isa and Navid.

Old pals Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill - and the rest of the Craiglang gang - returned after a seven-year break to perform a 21-night run of sell-out shows at Glasgow Hydro for thousands of fans.

They made Scottish history with one of the country's most successful theatrical shows.

The live show saw Jack and Victor reunited with Still Game favourites Winston, Isa, Tam, Navid and Boabby in the Clansman pub in Craiglang.

Forty-four episodes of Still Game were broadcast on the BBC over six series from 2002.
