Still Game star Ford Kiernan is preparing to get back in front of the camera after joining the cast of an indie Scots film.
Kiernan, who is best known for Still Game and Chewin' the Fat, will star in Journey Bound, a road movie about a young career driven lawyer who sees the error of his ways as he chases the love of his life through the Scottish Highlands.
The film will be directed by Ryan Hendrick and produced by Magic Works Entertainment, Bad Monkey Films and Magic Monkey Films.
Hendrick, who was nominated for a Bafta New Talent Award for short film Choices in 2010, said: "And the first of our big secrets is out. Very excited to be working with such a legend."
Kiernan and his comedy partner Greg Hemphill recently sold out 12 shows at the SSE Hydro after announcing that their much-love series Still Game would return as a stage show next year.
Journey Bound is scheduled to be released in 2015.
