One station was shut completely as a result of the afternoon glitch.
The inner circle was suspended shortly before 4.00pm on Wednesday afternoon and Kinning Park station in the South Side was closed to all customers "until further notice", according to transport firm SPT.
The station and track reopened less than an hour later after an electrical fault had been fixed by engineers.
