Millions of viewers watched a reconstruction of the unsolved murder of the dog walker on BBC’s Crimewatch programme last night.

The Glasgow grandmother was killed in Cranhill Park almost six months.

The reconstruction showed  Mrs Campbell’s last movements as she walked her dog Kai.

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Carey said: “We have received a number of calls, emails and texts from members of the public.

“Detectives will now sift through that information to establish if there are any new lines of inquiry which can be taken forward.

“We remain committed to finding the person responsible for the murder of Jean Campbell which has had a devastating effect on her family.

“One small piece of information could prove vital in progressing our investigation and finding the person responsible for this crime.”

Mrs Campbell, 53, was last seen walking with her dog towards Cranhill Park, near her home in the East End, on Friday, December 13.

Her body was found at around 7.40am the next day by her husband who, on returning from his night shift, realised she was not home and went to look for her.

Mrs Campbell’s daughter Lianne, 34, also took part in the TV appeal.
