POLICE have seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs after a dramatic dawn raid in Glasgow.
Officers burst into a flat in Parnie Street, Merchant City, and almost 2000 diazepam tablets were discovered within the premises.
Cannabis was also found during the search.
A team of police officers raided the flat this morning and have spent hours gathering evidence at the scene.
Detectives carried out an extensive search and several items were removed from the city centre flat.
Police said two women, both 25-years-old, were detained in connection with the find.
Chief Inspector Mark Sutherland said: "Our local community identified drug dealing and drug use as a priority.
"We are determined to target those responsible.
"These drugs will now be destroyed so that they cannot cause untold harm to our communities.
"Information from the public is vital for police to actively target those involved in drug crime."
