As Christopher hurtled to his death, his jumpmaster (who had the headcam) managed to grab the man and release the parachute at 4000 feet as he regained consciousness at 3000 feet.

The man, who was doing Stage Five of his Accelerated Freefall programme in Perth, Australia landed safely with the parachute - but wrote: "[it was] possibly the scariest moment of my life."
