AN 80-year-old woman was pushed to the ground and robbed of a four-figure sum of money in broad daylight.
She was pushed over near to a Spar store and had her handbag swiped.
The pensioner was walking in High Street, Irvine, North Ayrshire, when she was attacked at 1.35pm yesterday.
The thief, described
as a white male, 20 to 24-years-old and 5ft 2in, ran off in the direction of East Road car park.
The woman's bag was later found in the car park's gents toilets, with the large sum of cash missing.
The victim was taken to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock, with a minor head injury and stayed overnight.
