A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being knocked down in Bishopbriggs.
The incident happened shortly after 4pm on Kirkintilloch Road.
Ambulance crews treated the woman before taking her to the Royal Infirmary around 4.55pm.
Police also attended after receiving reports that a woman had been hit by a vehicle.
Kirkintilloch Road is currently closed while police enquiries continue
City-bound traffic is being diverted to Kenmuir Avenue and Crowhill Road, while East-bound traffic is being redirected through Brackenbrae Road.
