The Unite union has appointed a Paisley man as its new community co-ordinator for Scotland.
Jamie-Max Caldwell, 26, has been given the task of mobilising the unemployed and retired to improve their communities
He will bring together groups not covered by traditional trade union membership, so they can get involved in campaigns like fighting to save local libraries from closure.
