GLASGOW University's first Gaelic language officer, Fiona Dunn, has won the Workplace Initiative Award at the inaugural Scottish Gaelic Awards.
Ms Dunn picked up the award for establishing the Glasgow Language Initiative in 2009 and for her work in integrating Gaelic language and culture throughout the university.
She said: "It has been a great pleasure to work with such a dedicated team of both staff and students at the University of Glasgow and rewarding to see Gaelic go from strength to strength both within the university and across Scotland."
Similar posts promoting Gaelic language and culture have been set up at universities in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and the Highlands and Islands due to the widely recognised success of Ms Dunn.
