VANDALS have been slammed after a park was wrecked just after it had been renovated.
Benches and tables in Kelburn Park, Port Glasgow, were set on fire and damaged just weeks after a £5000 refurbishment had been completed.
Inverclyde's Environment & Regeneration Convener, Councillor Michael McCormick, condemned the act, as resources are scarce, and called it inconsiderate and anti-social.
