A FAMILY project in Glasgow has received a £2000 grant from a television appeal.
Findlay Family Network has been supporting families in the St George's Cross area of the city for seven years and recently opened a new centre in Possilpark.
The organisation aims to reduce family breakdown and support families out of poverty, working with them in a framework that provides the chance to make lasting changes.
The grant came from this year's STV appeal. Shirley Berry, the network's project director, said: "The money will cover various costs associated with volunteer befriending and mentoring, our work in schools, and residential personal motivation work with young people.
"We will also use some of the grant for our skills and personal development work with young people.
"We would like to thank the STV Appeal. The grant is very much appreciated."
