DEMENTIA experts have created the world's first dementia-friendly Virtual Hospital to help improve safety for patients.
The hospital has been created by the University of Stirling for health boards and designers.
A quarter of acute hospital beds are occupied by people with dementia.
Professor June Andrews of Stirling University said: "We know from hard evidence which design details help people with dementia to stay safe in hospital."
