The M8, which at one point was reduced to one lane in each direction near Glasgow Airport, has now increased to a two-lane operation, although speed restrictions remain in place.

The White Cart viaduct, which carries the M8 over the White Cart Water immediately to the south of the airport, was subject to restrictions over the festive period as major strengthening work was carried out.
