WEEKEND travellers could face disruption when a lane on the M8 is closed for £130,000 resurfacing work.
The upgrades will take place at the Craigton Interchange, junction 30, shutting one lane on the east bound carriageway.
The 622 metre section will close to all vehicles from 10pm on Friday until 6am on Monday.
Amey, who will carry out the work on behalf of Transport Scotland, says that the work has been programmed to take place over the weekend in a bid to minimise disruption.
Spokesman Colin Mackenzie said: "These works are vital to ensuring this section of the M8 remains in good condition for years to come.
"While we do not expect the works to cause major delays, we advise drivers to leave extra time to reach their destinations, particularly if travelling to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley or Glasgow Airport."
