The 180-year old Swiss watch brand Longines has been unveiled as the Games' 'Official Timekeeper'.
The brand, launched in 1832, has strong sporting links. The French Open, the Alpine Ski World Cup and World Championships as well as the World Cup and Archery World Championships all use Longines as their official timekeeper.
The firm, part of the Swatch Group, provided the times for the first modern-day Olympics in 1892.
Glasgow 2014 Chairman, Lord Smith said: "We are delighted to announce such a prestigious brand as our first Partner."
Walter von Känel, President of Longines, said: "We look forward to working with the Glasgow 2014 team to deliver a superb event, with a lasting legacy for Scotland."
