COMMUTERS are facing travel misery as the weather "bomb" causes chaos for city transport links.
A number of train services across the city have been suspended or delayed this morning due to high winds and rain.
Coastal services running between Ayr and Stranraer, Dumbarton and Helensburgh and Kilwinning and Largs have been cancelled for the whole day.
The Queen Street to Oban service has also been suspended until tomorrow, affecting passengers travelling between city stations on the route including Anniesland and Charing Cross.
Signalling problems at Shotts are causing delays of up to half an hour for services running between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Traffic Scotland have warned gusts of 70mph have been recorded on the Forth and Tay road bridges while the Met Office recorded a 59mph gust in Lerwick, Shetland, and a 55mph gust in Glasgow.
On the roads the Skye Bridge and Forth Road Bridge were closed to high-sided vehicles while the Tay Bridge was only open to cars and the Erskine Bridge was also closed to high-sided vehicles.
