A WINTER fair and farmer's market is being held this month in Renfrew.

Renfrew Development Trust is holding its second Winter's Fayre and Farmers Market on Saturday January 31 in Renfrew Town Hall.

The first was held on November 29 last year, attracting almost 500 shoppers.

Foster Evans, Chairman of the Trust said: "We were delighted with the support from local people and stallholders for our first event.

"We hope to have more than 15 stalls this time with a mixture of farmer's market: meat, fish, cold pressed oils, chutneys, jams, and chocolate but also have recycled wooden furniture, fashion jewellery, health and well being goods, Candles and Fairtrade goods"

"Holding events like a Winter's Fayre was in our Community Action Plan and we are delighted we have been able to hold yet another one so soon".

The Fayre/Market starts at 10.00 am and the first 50 to arrive will get a £5 off voucher for the stalls. People are encouraged to come early in case the stalls sell out.
