A 97-YEAR-OLD woman was assaulted during one of a spate of bogus caller incidents.
Crooks targeted three elderly women at their homes in Govan and Cardonald on Wednesday afternoon.
At noon, a 97-year-old woman was pushed to the ground by a man who entered her home in Ulva Street, Govan, and walked round her home before leaving.
On the same day at around 3.30pm, a 78-year-old woman answered her door in Arduthie Street, Cardonald, to a man claiming to be from the electricity firm.
He entered the house but left with nothing.
The third incident happened at 3.20pm in Tweedsmuir Road, Cardonald, where a man, pretending to be a plumber, entered a 90-year-old woman's house.
The men responsible are described as white, 30 to 40 years of age, between 5ft 2in and 5ft 6in tall and of medium build.
One of the suspects was wearing a dark coloured bomber-style jacket.
Police do not believe that the same man is responsible for all three incidents but are not ruling it out.
Detective Sergeant Frank Clarke, of Helen Street Police Office, urged anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who can help should call 0141 532 5400 or Crime-stoppers on 0800 555 111.
