RAIL services to and from Glasgow were disrupted after a woman was struck by a train.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, near Renton Station, at 6.45pm last night.
However, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The train involved was the 6.23pm service from Balloch to Airdrie.
A British Transport Police spokeswoman said the death was currently being treated as non suspicious. She added: "A file will be prepared to the procurator fiscal."
