A WOMAN who was gored by a stag while on holiday in the Scottish Highlands plans to return to the area to thank locals for their "incredible kindness" after the accident.
Kate Stone, 45, from Cambridge, was seriously injured near Fort William just over a year ago, on December 30 2013.
She was on a short break with friends when the stag ran towards her and gored her while she was standing outside a private residence in Lochailort.
She said: "I just want to pay my respects for the incredible kindness the community showed me."
