Woman robbed on way back from shops

POLICE are hunting an armed thug who robbed a woman as she walked home from the shops.

The incident happened in Drumchapel on Saturday.

The 42-year-old woman was walking in Cloan Avenue around 11.15am when she was approached by a man who demanded money from her whilst threatening her with a weapon.

The man stole a small sum of money from her and made off in the direction of Stonedyke Primary School.

The woman was uninjured, but was left extremely shaken.

The man was in his late teens or early 20s and approximately 6ft tall. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up and a scarf covering the bottom half of his face.
