SOME of the most beautiful images of Glasgow could be yours thanks to the Evening Times.

A month ago we unveiled the winning entries in the Commonwealth Woods photographic competition.

And the top images will appear on a calendar which will be free inside tomorrow's paper.

They were all taken in a network of woods, in and around Glasgow and Lanarkshire, set up as a national legacy project of this year's Commonwealth Games.

More than 100 pictures were submitted by budding photographers showing how they enjoy their local woods; from hill walking with friends and insect hunting with family to spectacular views and scenery.

The Commonwealth Woods has provided more than 320 free events over the last two years for people from all ages and backgrounds to get involved, get active and be inspired in their local woods.

Among this wide range of activities visitors can:

€¢ explore the woods via a free bronze, silver or gold medal walking route at Bishop Loch, Drumchapel, Castlemilk, Johnstone, or Overtoun Estate

€¢ try out their problem solving skills on a Treasure Trail themed walking activity at Easterhouse, Boden Boo or Johnstone woods

€¢ enjoy the beauty of more than 5,000 trees planted at a dedicated Commonwealth Grove by more than 2,000 people at Lang Craigs

€¢ navigate their way around a giant maze of the Commonwealth Games 2014 logo made out of trees, plants and reclaimed bricks at Riccard Johnston.

Free events and activities will continue to take place at the Commonwealth Woods during 2015.
