THE collection was created for patients across Europe and now youngsters at Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Sick Children are getting a first glimpse of images by top children's illustrator Quentin Blake.
The pictures by Blake – whose work with author Roald Dahl created some of the most famous characters in children's fiction, from Willy Wonka to the BFG – have gone on display in the hospital at Yorkhill, through a link-up with Renfrewshire Arts and Museums.
Paisley Museum is the only Scottish venue to host a new exhibition, Welcome to Planet Zog, by the artist who was commissioned to produce art for hospitals across Europe with the aim of having a therapeutic effect on their patients.
Head of fundraising David Welch said: "Yorkhill Children's Foundation is extremely grateful for this kind gift and would like to thank Renfrewshire Arts and Museums. Having colourful and unique pictures such as these by Quentin Blake makes a real difference to children and families, brightening up waiting areas."
The full exhibition is at Paisley Museum until June 24.
