If they are linked to illegal gangmasters and organised crime, there must be no delay in ending their activities.

Communities Minister Stewart Maxwell visited the area after our report but nothing has been heard from the government since then.

This area needs help and the politicians must provide it.

Give Glasgow a fair share of cash

WINNING the 2014 Games for Glasgow was a coup not just for the city but for the whole of the UK.

That means it must be backed 100% by the Westminster government and given its full share of the cash essential to make it a success.

Although the Glasgow event is being funded by the Scottish government and the city council, Lottery money would provide more investment opportunities It is right that the London Olympics get a large slice of Lottery cash to ensure their success.

However, this must not be at the expense of Scotland and the Glasgow games.
