OVER the past five years, the Evening Times Community Champion awards have allowed people to recognise the efforts of those working hard to make the city a better place to live.
The awards have honoured people of all ages involved in a wide variety of jobs, campaigns and projects - all with one thing in common, creating something which benefits others more than themselves.
The hugely popular awards are back for another year thanks to our partners, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Community Planning Partnership, Glasgow Housing Association, Scottish Fire and Rescue and Police Scotland.
And we are once again looking for your nominations of people in your area who deserve to be recognised at award ceremonies held locally to allow as many people as possible to attend.
It has been a privilege for the Evening Times to be associated with the many winners and the tremendous work they are doing in our communities year in year out, and we are looking forward once more to meeting a whole new list of nominations which will unearth the new 2014 Glasgow Community Champions.
The Community Champions is Glasgow's awards, so get in touch using the details on Page 7 and let us know who is your champion.
