6 Jimmy Reid: His memory is revered in Glasgow as the leader of the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders dispute in the 1970s.
7 Jack Jones: Charismatic Liverpool docker who led the Transport and General Workers' Union.
8 Vic Feather: A major force in the 1960s, he fought against the Heath government.
9 Brenda Dean: Led the print union Sogat against Rupert Murdoch in the 1980s.
10 Clive Jenkins: The ASTMS leader was a fixture on TV chat shows in the 60s and 70s.
