2 Graeme Souness: The future Rangers manager won the Italian cup with Sampdoria.
3 Paul Lambert: Joined Borussia Dortmund and became the first Scot to win the European Cup with a non-UK team.
4 Steve Archibald: Spent four years as a striker at Barcelona and had a short spell at Espanyol.
5 Joe Jordan: Was relegated to Serie B with AC Milan and also played for Italian club Verona.
6 John Collins: The ex-Celt won the French championship in 1997 while playing for Monaco.
7 Maurice Johnston: Scored 22 goals in two seasons with French club Nantes.
8 Alan McInally: Known as Big Mac in Germany, he helped Bayern Munich to the league title.
9 Scott Booth: Had a short spell at Borussia Dortmund then played more than 100 times for Dutch side FC Twente.
10 Murdo MacLeod: Left Celtic for Borussia Dortmund where he made more than 100 appearances.
