2 Marmalade: The most successful Scottish band, they reached number one with Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.
3 Stone The Crows: Heavy rockers, the band featured the gritty vocals of Maggie Bell.
4 Sensational Alex Harvey Band: Glam rockers with a huge following, they scored big hits with Delilah and Boston Tea Party.
5 Slik: Teen band that launched the career of Ultravox lead singer Midge Ure.
6 The Humblebums: Folk band featuring Billy Connolly, Gerry Rafferty and Tam Harvey.
7 Beggars Opera: Progressive rock band whose single Sarabande charted in several European countries.
8 Pathfinders: Favourites of the Glasgow club scene, their lead singer was Ian Clews.
9 Dream Police: Made up of Glasgow boys, they released a couple of singles on the Decca label.
10 Chris McClure Section: Lead singer later became the entertainer Christian.
