IT is not only sports fans who will be spoilt for choice in Glasgow this summer as the schedule for the accompanying Festival 2014 has been released.
New and old venues will house some of the country's biggest and best-loved names and there's also room on the bill for up-and-coming artists to reach a new audience.
Like the Games there will be events in the east, the city centre and West End with the refurbished Kelvingrove Bandstand brought back to life.
While Olympic heroes including Mo Farah will be wowing the crowds at Hampden and Michael Jamieson going for gold in the pool, music fans can enjoy homegrown talent in Nicola Beneditti and Edwyn Collins.
A range of international events and cultural celebrations will ensure that wherever you are and whether you were lucky enough to get tickets or not there will be something to join in with and experience a celebration like never before in the city.
Most of the 1000 events across 100 venues in the city are free to ensure as many people as possible can take part and enjoy the spectacle.
For anyone who wasn't already aware, there is only one place to be in this summer when the world comes to Glasgow and the city gets ready to welcome them all in style.
