4 Sir Alex Ferguson: Govan-born football manager became a Glasgow Freeman in 1999.
5 Kenny Dalglish: The former Celtic and Liverpool star received the honour in 1986
6 Aung San Suu Kyi: The city recognised the work of the leader of the National League for Democracy in Burma.
7 Marie Curie: The Polish scientist famous for her work on radioactivity.
8 Ramsay MacDonald: Britain's first Labour Prime Minister came from Lossiemouth.
9 Sir William Burrell: The shipping merchant left his art collection to the city.
10 Harry McShane: A colleague of John Maclean, he was a lifelong socialist and Labour activist.
