With the clock ticking down to the start of the Commonwealth Games the excitement is building in Glasgow by the day.

There is no escaping the fact the Games are coming with the city's streets decked in banners and flags and venues permanent and temporary having the final touches applied.

There is still time to get the last remaining tickets which have been made available by the organisers and take the opportunity to see some of the world's top sporting stars and the next generation who will make their name in Glasgow.

The next two weeks is also the time to get up to date with all the road changes and travel information to ensure you are still able to go about your business while the Games are on.

For travel information the Get Ready Glasgow website is the place to go to see which routes are closed and which train and bus services are affected and are likely to be busier than normal.

To snap up the last remaining tickets the place to visit is the Glasgow 2014 website to see what events and which sessions are available.

The action begins on July 23, but already it is clear to everyone Glasgow is the Commonwealth Games city.

Let's enjoy it.
