1 Drymen:
After the start at Milngavie, most walkers stop at Drymen and enjoy the views of the Campsies.
2 Loch Lomond: All 24 miles of it by walking alongside it through Balmaha, Rowardennan and Inversnaid to Ardlui.
3 Drovers Inn: The so-called haunted hotel in the village of Inverarnan, a popular stop with walkers.
4 Glen Falloch: Between Ardlui and Crianlarich, the scenery becomes rugged and mountainous.
5 Tyndrum: Another popular stop, it is the smallest village in the UK with two railway stations.
6 Rannoch Moor: The miles of bleak desolate moorland can be incredibly beautiful.
7 Kings House Hotel: One of the most remote inns in Scotland, set amid the beauty of Glen Coe.
8 Devil's Staircase: A mountain path given its name by soldiers building the roads.
9 Kinlochleven: The first village in the world to have every house connected to electricity is now a popular stop.
10 Fort William: The end of the line after 96 miles and a chance to have a final dram to toast your success.
