They say California is full of people who are homesick but I'm having the time of my life. The sun is shining, I'm cruising on the wrong side of the road and totally loving ma life!

A wee dose of sunshine in the middle of that bleak winter of ours is just what the doctor ordered. This week we welcomed Lady Dunn into the WeHo Massive - Clare's husband, Andrew bought her a surprise plane ticket for Christmas to come and visit me on my LA adventure. No kids, no school runs, so we set about showing that hot mama a good time.

Our apartment is in West Hollywood and so close to Melrose Avenue, which is a major shopping strip. LA is full of really cool shops and amazing vintage ones too, you always find something here that you wouldn't get back home. Myself and the three lassies meant business; we were in and out of them all, a wee green juice stop along the way (we also had pizza and fizz) and came home chuffed to bits with our wares. It's safe to say that I'm already needing to book on an extra bag for my flight home.

Glasgow Times:

My lovely pal, Faye, arranged a table for the four of us to have dinner at the Chateau Marmont on the Sunset strip. The infamous hotel has played host to many a legend in it's time; my favourite being Judy Garland sang by the grand piano in the lobby. Lovely lobby it is too! The hotel is synonymous with celebrities and they all flock there because it offers up complete anonymity. There are major stars eating at the table next to you, but it's not the done thing to ask for a picture.

Sia

The girls and I passed the publicity shy Australian singer, Sia and actress Minnie Driver en route to our table. Heat magazine would have a field day!

Glasgow Times:

Lily Aldridge

After dinner, I scanned the room and tried to give the glad eye to a rather attractive man, who just happened to be Jarred Followhill - bass guitarist in Kings of Leon. Oh yes. There he was (not returning the glad eye, unfortunately) with Caleb and Nathan too. Casually swigging the red wine and having a right old hoot. I was more impressed by Caleb's wife; Lily Aldridge. Victoria's Secret Angel and supermodel, the lassie is a goddess. Check her Instagram. Obsessed. As I previously said, no photo's allowed, but my pal Natalie and I gave them a good dose of the Glasgow patter, which they loved. Life made.

Now, I hate to inform you all but this is to be my last column. I've had my column for nearly a year and it's been a total privilege to have had the opportunity to write for you each week. Thank you for reading and for all of your wonderful support. I've had a ball and love that my daft chat has entertained you. I'm off to New York for a few days. This is Gary Lamont's Wide as the Clyde signing off - thank you and goodnight.
