I had the pleasure of chatting to one of the loveliest and funniest guys ever this week.

How to Look Good Naked star Gok Wan popped on our show.

As if that wasn’t good enough he played The Music Minute, our daily pop quiz on the Heart Drive Show.

A caller comes on everyday throughout the week to play, and the highest score at the end of the week wins a prize.

The prize this time around was a night out with Gok at the Opal Lounge in Edinburgh and in true fashion (see what I did there), he set the bar high with a score of just 1!

Well Gok Wan said in a Glasgow accent is roughly translated as Gok One for non-Glaswegians isn’t it!

Glasgow Times:

Also this week on the show we talked about the weekend staple - takeaways. Without a doubt, everyone has experienced the famous line ‘the driver is on their way’ when calling to check in on a delivery.

1 hour 45 minutes later Paul and the family were still waiting on their food and each time he called to find out the food’s whereabouts, he was told the driver had ‘just left’.

That old chestnut eh. It took me way back to when I used to deliver Chinese food - don’t judge, but sometimes I would steal a few wee chips that were sticking out of the top of the bag! I know it’s wrong but the secret’s out now!

I actually admitted this on air, and Paul’s face and reaction was priceless. Seriously though, next time you get some takeaway food in, check the chips... or maybe no one is actually as greedy as me!

Another week of Bake Off, and did you know that there’s only one show left to go in the newest series!

Then unbearably, The Bake Off won’t be on the telly for 2 years…how will we get our Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry fix? More importantly how can we cope without innuendos galore and people mucking up a Battenberg!

Then again it will maybe be good for our diets and not so tempting to eat cake like we do every week on Paul and Lynne’s Celebrity Cake Off!

However, this week on our cake off there wasn’t much of a worry about the cake getting scoffed. it was my turn to decorate the cake to look like a celebrity and I chose Lady Gaga.

Glasgow Times:

I was inspired by one of her most outrageous outfits - the infamous meat dress she wore at the 2010 MTV video music awards! Usually we cut the cake up afterwards and share it around the office but nobody was keen on cold honey roast ham on an iced sponged cake.

I still managed to cut a bit that wasn’t all ‘hammy’ and scranned it with a cup of tea. Well… I do like cake and winding up Paul.

I got my hair done this week, which had made me feel like a new woman! You know how sometimes you need a wee pick me up, well I got some lovely new long locks added and just in time for going to see Justin Bieber next week. I’m so excited, the countdown is officially on now….

Glasgow Times:

The crowd is going to be a mixture of actual Bieber fans, parents taking their kids to see him, men that have been dragged by the other half…and me and my girls. We are making a day of it in Glasgow before the gig so if you see a lassie with blonde hair sleeping in the corner of the SSE Hydro with her head in her handbag…it’s not me. You didn’t see anything…

It’s not like I’m Lynne cannae hack the pace Hoggan, mum of two, on her annual big night out!
