So maybe you’re like me and every year say “right, that’s it. I’m going to lose weight, I’m on a diet”.  Then 3 days later you get in to work and someone offers you cake, which you can’t say no to…oops. Diet over!

Well, I’ve actually managed to say no to cake, no to Chinese, no to every temptation, and stick to my diet. So much so… I’ve lost 11lbs and I’m feeling so good! I’ve been going to the gym and following the Cambridge diet which has given me the kick start I needed. I’m also turning into an annoying food person on Instagram, so if you like looking at pictures of other people’s food then follow me @lynneontheradio.

11lbs down and feeling so good

I’ve a few things coming up in March and I am focused on getting into a nice outfit that I probably would never have worn before. You know how you see an outfit and think ‘I will get into that?’ Well that is what I am thinking about every time I pass the Blue Lagoon chippy on my drive home from work. If that’s not motivation, I don’t know what is?  Blocking out cravings for a sausage supper with curry sauce…sounds amazing right! Actually though, that saying ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ – kind of true.  Until you have twisted mac and cheese from the Hard Rock café….

My pal is back on this week, yes Paul came back after his lovely wife Claire welcomed baby Emilia into the world.  There’s been no tales yet of how he’s not slept but I’ve heard about the nappy changes! I’m sure there’s plenty more stories to come, bearing in mind she’s still not even 2 weeks old. He has so much to look forward to by the way…  I am dealing with a 7-month old who is currently teething and has a cold, poor wee man. This isn’t good when he’s just been fed, coughs and projectile vomits all over your nice new white blouse on your road out the door #mumprobs

Also with January being the “most depressing month of the year”, it feels like forever until payday and we all feel a bit fatter after over indulging over Xmas and New Year. To ease the pain, all this week we have been giving away holidays on Heart Breakfast with Robin & Adele and on Drivetime with me and Paul, thanks to Jet2holidays. Today is the last day so make sure you tune into Heart after 4pm and we could be cheering up your January with a nice holiday to look forward to.

Listen to Paul and Lynne’s new drive show on Heart Scotland 100-103Fm & DAB 4-7pm weekdays
