REGARDING the story about the homeless man being thrown out of Starbucks for begging.

This is disgusting behaviour.

I think someone at Starbucks needs to be taken to task for this. Were they following company procedure?

Perhaps the Evening Times could do a bit of investigating?

Down the drain

GLASGOW city council claims it needs to save money from its budgets.

I can’t understand why it is throwing money down the drain by employing private Contractors to fix public realms like Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street: pot holes and re-layering of roads.

Would it be more cost efficient and more practical to carry this out in house?

Clear message

SO according to reports the Peru drug mule is likely to rake in up to £50,000 from a book deal.

Ah well crime does pay.

Sends out a clear message to kids all round the country.

Don’t go to school get an education. Become a drug mule get caught come out (early) and make a fortune and never need to really work again.

Speed limit

I WAS reading about the drivers caught flouting a 30mph speed restriction in Dalmarnock.

If a driver doesn’t know the speed limit of the road he’s on, maybe they shouldn’t be driving.

Need overhauled

THE whole system of off-licencing needs overhauled.

There are many places which have high alcohol use and alcohol related anti-social behaviour problems which would benefit from the removal of these establishments.

The sale of alcohol directly to the public should perhaps be restricted to major reputable outlets only, and any such outlet should be monitored by CCTV as part of the licence.
