I don't know one girl who doesn't love Soap & Glory products. From the unique smell to the pretty packaging, getting a Soap & Glory set has become part of my annual Christmas list.

Glasgow Times:

The beauty firm sent into the office this week the Soap & Glory Glam Slam game to promote their new products which was a complete throwback to the 90s. I instantly had wonderful feelings of nostalgia as I opened the box and saw their beauty take on what I remember as Dream Phone.

A very clever idea by the Soap & Glory PR firm indeed but it really got me thinking about board games and how much I loved them as a kid. I can't be the only who went through the Argos catalogue highlighting the board games I would like Santa to bring me for Christmas each year?

Monopoly, Frustration, Cluedo, Who Want's to be a Millionaire are just some of the games I remember playing with friends and family. It actually saddens me that a lot of youngsters are growing up without that social interaction. Many are stuck in front of a computer expressing their emotions alone as they play a game.

I think we need to preserve some things and board games should be one of them. I had tears of laughter watching all my friends upload videos on Facebook of their children playing Pie Face over Christmas. It reminded me there is still hope that we do want to take time away from our screens and interact with each other. I salute you the makers of Pie Face, and I hope that toymakers keep things traditional and continue to bring out new board games.

The weekend starts right here:

Watch: Dirty Grandpa at the cinema:

I have to admit my January consisted of watching most of the Oscar nominated movies - and it takes a lot out of you. I love how movies effect my mood. I got worried about money and mortgages as I took in The Big Short. Spotlight had me admiring how journalism can make a difference in this world. Creed made me want to get fitter but Rocky movies always have me heading to the gym with Survivor's Eye of the Tiger blaring into my ears. Joy made me believe in myself. That's all well and good but sometimes you just need a good old laugh.

And Dirty Grandpa is one of the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. I caught it at the cinema during the week and laughed all the way through. Now I get not everyone likes Robert De Niro in 2016. They loved the actor who played Don Corleone in The Godfather 2 or the 'you talkin' to me' moment in Taxi Driver. But I personally love the comedy roles De Niro has done in recent years and he had me laughing all the way through this.

It's crude, and is shocking at points but it really is a film which warms your heart and has you leaving the cinema with a spring in your step.

It also helps that Zac Efron gets better looking with each film - how is that possible?

Drink: Cocktails at NYC American Grill in Princes Square:

I am forever searching for a good cocktail in Glasgow. A lot of places just don't get it right - it is such an art, which is why I was pleasently surprised by NYC American Grill in Princes Square. I went with a friend for dinner last week and I couldn't believe how good their cocktails were. I had the Hubba Bubba daiquiri and it was a taste sensation. This place is definately a new favourites for cocktails.

Vote: Tiffany in Celebrity Big Brother

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I am obssessed with this year's Celebrity Big Brother. The series has been mental and I have been completely glued. The final is tonight and I would love to see Tiffany win. From the confusion over which David died to her Darren crush, this girl has given her all. She was the American who had us all saying "Tiffany who?" when she walked in and now she leaves having entertained the nation. Well done Tiffany. You are my winner.
