'That’s it…diet starts tomorrow', ‘I've eaten so much’...how many times have you heard or even said these things since the start of 2017? Well I've been saying diet starts tomorrow for the past god knows how many years now. The thing is, sometimes I stick to it for a bit, then other times I last until lunch! Why does someone always bring cake into work, I mean how can you say no to cake? But stepping on the scales after Christmas and New year and seeing how much I weighed in comparison to about 2 years ago was terrifying! Plus, I'm getting to that stage where I'm happy in a sweater in jeans...enough is enough!

So I have been on the Cambridge diet this week - not because I can't cook or want to lose weight really quickly but because I needed a strict plan to follow. I also needed something that is easy to follow with two young kids and working Monday to Friday. So far so good, this week and I am actually finding it easier than I imagined I would. I'm feeling more energetic and even went to the gym on Monday – yes, the gym! My first weigh in is this weekend so I will keep you posted on my progress. The weekends are always toughest though, surely I'm not the only one that craves takeaways and sweets at the weekend? It's going to be a hard slog, but my goal is to get back into a pair of denim shorts I had years ago and I WILL be wearing them this Summer (even if it is just up and down Buchanan street).

It’s January and this means one thing -  Diet begins!

So Paul and I are back into the swing of things on Drive Time and we had such a carryon the other day when the boss left the room during a meeting.  We used Snapchat on my phone and did a face swap with each other. Wow, it came up with a weird creation! Said weird creation now goes by the name 'Lynne Harper'.   As it turns out this 'person' is rather un-dateable, as we set 'her' up on tinder and it took us ages to find just one match! Check this out…it's slightly terrifying isn't it? Good job we won't be having babies together!

The funniest face swap of all time, meet “Lynne Harper”
