THE lineup for this year's outing of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has been announced and I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed.

It's the only reality TV style show I ever watch which must seem strange considering my background.

Weirdly, when I meet folk on the street and once they've got over the shock/disgust that I don't watch The X Factor, they always then ask, "have you never asked to get yourself in that jungle?"

To which I always reply: "Apart from the inevitable horror of bugs and creepy crawlies, going on that show would require me to be in a vest top and a pair of ill fitting khaki shorts for three weeks on national TV (point to myself) need I say any more?"

I'm a Celeb is the only programme, for me, that has maintained its original format and not turned into a parody of itself because, as the old saying goes, 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'.

For the last 12 years the show has done exactly what it says on the tin and that's why we all still love it but I'm just slightly worried that this year's line up may be a little tame.

We've come to expect great things from this show so I've decided to put together a wee list of my top five moments ever from the jungle.

In at No 5 it's got to be Myleene Klass and her white bikini back in 2006.

Men all over the UK fainted with happiness while women like me, watching the show sprawled out across the sofa wearing a onesie and eating a takeaway on a cold Sunday night in November, took one look at little Myleene, paused for a moment and then hit redial on the phone until the lines closed for the next gruesome bush tucker trial.

No 4, Jordan and Peter Andre's romance back in 2004.

Who would have thought this little encounter would have started a love affair that gave us new words like Insania or pink wedding dresses and pumpkin carriages, but hey, it did and that's just what happens sometimes when you are stuck in a jungle for three weeks with millions of people watching you.

No 3, Natalie Appleton.

What can I say about poor Natalie other than that she must surely still hold the record for the most bush tucker trial nomin-ations ever received by a single con-testant in the history of the show.

Small tip but if you are ever in need of cheering up just Google any one of said trials to instantly improve your mood.

No 2 - and it was extremely close let me tell you - was Paul Burrell's Hellish Holes trial back in 2004.

He was the former butler of Princess Diana wanting to appear the tough man, he even had his ear pierced going on the show but when old Paul had to stick his hands into the unknown the result was simply one of the greatest TV moments in the history of the universe.

For at least a year after that the phrase on everyone's lips was "Move over darling, let me get the star."

Taking the No1 top spot, however, had to be my old pal Gillian McKeith.

Her antics were utterly bizarre and sometimes jaw dropping but after spending an entire year working with her and being force fed avocado and quinoa for breakfast lunch and dinner, I did find myself feeling like I'd won the lottery when her little coupon popped up in the jungle, especially when she faced a plate full of bush tucker treats to feast on.

Yes I'm a Celeb, is most certainly one of the best shows on TV and these new recruits have a lot to live up too.

Will they make the grade? All will be revealed on Sunday at 9pm on STV.

MY old high school St Ambrose in Coatbridge is fundraising for an unbelievable cause.

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, yet with just a little help people's lives can be radically transformed.

This help is needed by many disabled children in Mendulo, Malawi who have to undergo health assessments under a tree.

If these children were assessed immediately at birth, the impact of their disabilities could be reduced and their lives vastly improved.

That's why St Ambrose would like to build these children a proper health assessment centre.

With your help I am sure they can do it. Please if you can text £1, £5 or £10 and Brix90 to 70070 or you can log on to www.justgiving.com/foundations to donate and find out more information.
