This has surely been the news every Still Game fan has been dreaming of since the team announced its break back in 2008.
I was lucky enough to be given a guest spot in series six of the show after meeting Greg Hemphill and Ford Kiernan at BBC Scotland's Children in Need programme back in 2006.
We had been laughing and joking all night in the Green Room and by the end I think I had more or less begged the boys to write me into the next series to which they agreed to, although at that point I thought they were just being the lovely guys they were and never thought anything would come of it until one day in early 2007 I got a call from my manager in London.
She said that a script had arrived that day but she didn't think it was suitable for me as the show had a lot of swearing in it and seemed to be about a group of elderly residents in Glasgow on the rampage.
My stomach flipped on hearing this so I asked her to confirm the name of the show and when she said Still Game, I think I actually screamed straight down the phone with excitement.
Within a few weeks I was on set in the Clansman pub like a kid at Christmas having my picture taken with all the cast and crew and sitting eating my lunch with the wonderful Jane McCarry dressed in full Isa attire.
The last scene I had to film was Winston delivering a tower of pizzas to my house because my boyfriend had chucked me and I had clearly decided to comfort eat my way through the heartache.
In my head, my boyfriend was Matt Damon so it seemed reasonable that a pizza mountain was in order to get over a Hollywood A-lister dumping me.
I'm going to let you into a little secret though, much to my dismay those pizza boxes where actually empty.
Yes folks, TV can be cruel sometimes and it doesn't come much crueller than an empty pizza box.
I AM delighted to announce that the wonderful Owen Paul has invited me to guest perform at his 80's Acoustic night in Glasgow's Pivo Pivo on Wednesday, October 30
Owen, of course, had a smash hit with My Favourite Waste of Time as well as touring with music legends Mike and the Mechanics not to mention numerous live solo appearances all over the world so it's a real treat for me to get to perform with him.
