Flirty Bet, played by Julie Goodyear, eventually became landlady in 1985, 15 years after going behind the bar.

2 Betty Turpin: The late Betty Driver started serving hotpots in 1969 and was the longest serving member of Rovers staff, notching up 40 years in the soap.

3 Liz McDonald: Played by Beverley Callard from 1990 to present day. She had numerous stints at the Rovers before becoming landlady in 2006.

4 Natalie Barnes: Denise Welch was behind the bar from 1997 to 2000.

5 Gloria Todd: Played by Sue Jenkins from 1985 to 1988.

6 Annie Walker: Was played by actress Doris Speed from the series' first episode in 1960 until 1983.

7 Judy Mallett: Gaynor Faye served pints from 1996 to 1999 and was a popular Rovers stalwart until her untimely death in 1999.

8 Suzie Birchall: Played by Cheryl Murray in 1983, was thrown out by Elsie Tanner when she tried to seduce Gail's husband Brian.

9 Samantha Failsworth: Tina Hobley worked in the Rovers from 1996-1998.

10 Michelle Connor: Played by Kym Marsh from 2006 to present was hired by Fred behind Liz's back.
