5 Pulp: Jarvis Cocker and his band were another of the top Britpop acts.
6 Chumbawamba: The Tubthumping band brought their brand of anarchist rock to the festival.
7 Del Amitri: The Scottish rockers performed in the King Tut's tent.
8 Manic Street Preachers: The Manics were one of the country's top bands at the time.
9 Teenage Fanclub: Eddi Reader and her band were one of several leading Scottish acts.
10 Crowded House: The Australian band was one of a strong international contingent.
