4 Lee Westwood: The Englishman has played eight times and is set to make his ninth appearance at Gleneagles.
5 Dai Rees: Welshman Rees made eight appearances in the early days of the event.
6 Ian Woosnam: Fellow Welshman Woosnam also made eight appearances and captained the team to glory.
7 Sam Torrance: Sam from Ayrshire is another on eight - and memorable sank the winning putt in 1985.
8 Colin Montgomerie: Scot Colin, who played eight times, was one of Europe's greatest Ryder Cup competitors.
9 Seve Ballesteros: Eight appearances for Seve, credited with reviving the trophy in the 80s.
10 Bernard Gallagher: Also on eight, the Scot who captained the team on three occasions.
