1 Christopher Trace:
Co-presented the first show in 1958 and was at the helm for almost nine years. Coined the phrase "here's one I made earlier".
2 Valerie Singleton:
Presenter from 1962 to 1972. On the show she took Princess Anne on a safari to Kenya. Awarded an OBE for services to kids' TV.
3 John Noakes:
The longest-serving presenter with a stint lasting 12 years and six months.
4 Peter Purves:
A former Dr Who time-traveller, Purves presented the show from 1967 to 1978.
5 John Leslie:
The Scot presented the show from 1989 to 1994.
6 Peter Duncan:
Had two spells on the show during the 1980s.
7 Lesley Judd:
Former member of the Young Generation dance troupe, she replaced Valerie Singleton and stayed for seven years.
8 Leila Williams:
Co-presenter with Christopher Trace for the first five years.
9 Sarah Greene:
She was the youngest presenter aged 22. The programme won a Bafta Award during her three-year tenure.
10 Simon Groom:
Presenter from 1978 to 1986, he was a former English teacher and disc jockey.
