1 Braveheart:
Oddly, much of it was filmed in Ireland but scenes in Glencoe are unmistakeable.
2 The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie: Shot mostly in Edinburgh, locations include the Grassmarket and Greyfriars Kirkyard.
3 From Russia With Love: The truck and helicopter chase was filmed in Argyll.
4 Harry Potter: All the movies used Scottish scenery, notably the Glenfinnan Viaduct on the West Highland line.
5 Trainspotting: Plenty of shots of Edinburgh and Glasgow, plus the famous scene at Corrour station on Rannoch Moor.
6 The Da Vinci Code:
The final clue towards the end of the movie is shot at Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian.
7 Chariots of Fire:
The West Sands at St Andrews are the location for the famous opening run.
8 World War Z:
Glasgow came to a halt three years ago when zombies invaded George Square.
9 Monty Python and the Holy Grail: Filmed mostly at Doune Castle, near Stirling.
10 Shallow Grave: Set in Edinburgh but most of the filming was done in Glasgow.
