4 Alder: It is typically found by streams and rivers throughout the country.
5 Juniper: A member of the cypress family, it is a common sight in Scotland.
6 Elm: The Wych Elm is found in Scotland, and described as a "grand stately tree".
7 Ash: Typically, ash woods produce spring flowers like bluebells because sunlight reaches the ground.
8 Birch: The downy birch and the silver birch are the two species found in Scotland.
9 Willow: Scotland is home to a number of willow species, including the tea leaved willow.
10 Elder: A member of the honeysuckle family, its leaves sprout early in the year.
